Metaphor: Snow White’s Stepmother Syndrome

Parallel realities are fed by the use of mirrors that reflect the projection individuals want to see.

These mirrors are sustained by a framework of fallacious myths and denials that provide the reflection effect that is sought for.

Fallacious myths provide the sensation of superiority that is self-fulfilling for people who suffer the Stepmother Syndrome. On the other hand, denials allow eliminating any information that endangers the perception of superiority.

These mirrors in fact do not exist. They are built by the projections of Snow White’s Stepmother adopting multiple shapes, in order to avoid being discovered, to provide a perception of “beauty”.

The paradox is that beautiful people might suffer this syndrome transforming their beauty into unbearable ugliness.

People suffering this syndrome have an endless need to be recognized for what they are not.

The cure of the syndrome is extremely simple: Use your neighbors’ eyes as a mirror. The syndrome simply vanishes.

Extreme individualism: a side effect of zero sum economy

Extreme individualists are individuals who seek for maximizing their benefits, have the necessary justifications to do so and need to exert power to achieve their purpose. They behave as “stagnant survivors” whose actions are a consequence of a personal attitude or the influence of the standards of an environment.

“The attitude of individuals is defined by the concept they have of what they are doing, the true intentions of their attitudes is defined by their ethics.
Extreme individualism in politics, economy and business is the consequence of zero sum environments and simultaneously generates them.
It produces a vicious circle that is paid with growth and the wellbeing of future generations.”

Excerpt from the book “Zero Sum vs. Value Adding Economy –
Opening the Pandora Box of Social Evils” by Peter Belohlavek

Extreme individualism is sustained by the human complexes triggered by fallacious perceptions and decisions. That is why extreme individualists cannot listen to what is different to their beliefs and needs. The open boundaries implicit in the adaptive aspects of businesses, represent a threat to their power exertion and the objective of maximizing their benefits.

Extreme individualism drives towards an over-adaptive behavior which implies that individuals, in order to avoid the responsibility of facing an adaptive process, deal with reality by submitting, opposing or dominating it. This is the essential behavior of extreme individualists.

They are harsh competitors who cannot deal with cooperation and consider that all those who cooperate are weak and should be disregarded. They need to destroy any technology that allows dealing with the adaptive aspects of businesses.

They are outsiders everywhere. That is why they can only deal with simple problems that allow an external observation to be solved. Their approach to them is subjective, intuitive and empiric.

They do not work with people; they use them for specific purposes. They manage naturally an authoritarian and/or manipulative approach to make this possible.

Stagnant survivors are idols for survivors who consider their capacity of appropriating value as a goal to be achieved to abandon the surviving role. That is why they are surrounded by them.

You do not have to worry about identifying them. They will identify you.

The perception of the Unified Field of Adaptive Systems

Businesses are a paradigmatic Human Complex Adaptive System that needs to be managed as a Unified Field. This is the field of complexity sciences.

Perceiving the unified field requires observing the active function, perceiving the energy conservation function, intuiting the implicit purpose and finally validating through destructive and non destructive pilot tests.

Every reality, considered as an adaptive system from a functional point of view, has a unique essential structure.

The unicist approach deals with reality considered as a unified field. This unified field is defined by the extrinsic and intrinsic concepts that have been discovered.

These unicist concepts are the unicist ontology that defines and regulates the nature of the entity that is being dealt with. This unified field is defined by a credibility zone when we deal with extrinsic concepts and by a functionality zone when dealing with intrinsic concepts.

The credibility or functionality zone behaves like a “micro-cosmos”.

Every being can be described by the three principles and functions that define it. It has a purpose, an action principle and an energy conservation principle. These three elements are integrated in its oneness considering a specific functionality in the environment.

Unicist Confederation: the Research Spin-off growth model

This growth stage that began in June implies the expansion of the activity of the Unicist Confederation based on “Research & Developments Spin-offs”.

This model requires the building of specialized business units within existing organizations who invest in the business to deal with some of the technologies or business objects developed at The Unicist Research Institute.

This spin-off model is focused on the use of technologies and objects that solve problems of the adaptive aspects of businesses.

Basically, the fields of specialization are defined by the Unicist Business Objects developed. It includes, in some cases, the development of Business Diagnoses and Strategies in the markets in which the ontological knowledge is available.

Unicist Ontological and Object Driven Business Organization

The Unicist Object Driven Organization described by Peter Belohlavek is a breakthrough that emulates the organization of nature. It integrates business objects into the business processes to increase their effectiveness. The organization by objects allows on one hand the saving of energy and, on the other hand, it provides the necessary structure to be able to integrate efficacy with efficiency increasing notoriously the results obtained.

Possibilities for the growth of small businesses

All businesses have, depending on their positioning, natural fallacious myths they believe in. These fallacious myths cover weaknesses companies have but are unable to deal with.

That is why chronic diseases of institutions have to be considered as characteristics because they are protected by the fallacious myths they have developed. The universal fallacious myths of small companies are the “justifications”. All what they do is justified because they are what they are.

“Small is beautiful” has been a motto used to justify the incapacity for growth. The size has nothing to do with the revenue. What defines if it is a small company is its critical mass. There can be a leader in a niche market that, having low revenue measured in absolute terms, is not small. Small implies assuming no responsibility in a market.

Small is a business attitude. The justification to avoid growth can be found in the following fable:

A hound dog found a bone and held it tightly in his mouth. He growled and scowled at anyone who attempted to take it away. Off into the woods he went to bury his prize.
When he came to a stream, he trotted over the footbridge and happened to glance into the water. He saw his own reflection. Thinking it was another dog with a bigger bone, he growled and scowled at it. The reflection growled and scowled back.
“I’ll get THAT bone too,” thought the greedy dog, and he snapped his sharp teeth at the image in the water.
Alas, his own big bone fell with a splash, out of sight, the moment he opened his mouth to bite!

But why did the dog made the wrong decision?
Because instead of looking for bones in the market he was viewing his own illusion in the mirror.

Small companies’ growth implies a big change which means leaving things behind, investing to build a critical mass, and then collecting the growth.

Victoria’s Secret and Mc Donald’s are stories that demonstrate that businesses might be intrinsically expansive but the attitude of the owners is what defines if there is a possibility for growth when they are small.

Small businesses disappear naturally in crises or with their founders. They grow when they begin to fight for the bones that are “unavailable” in the market. The man in the mirror kills businesses.

Learning the use of unicist ontology based business objects

The use of Unicist Business Objects, e.g. a Market Lab, doesn’t require managing ontological approaches but understanding them.

Unicist Business Objects are part of the intellectual capital of companies.

Access Diana Belohlavek’s  book on Intellectual Capital at:
http://www.goodwillnetwork.net/deb_ic.shtml

An individual needs to be able to manage the business processes in order to integrate business objects. This requires having the concept of the process, having the operational know how and understanding the process which means having the know why.

Business Objects do not substitute the individual’s responsibility for results; they provide a structured solution that makes her/his activity easier and more profitable. In other fields this is self-evident: an autopilot doesn’t replace a human activity, it sustains the work of a pilot.

This is not the case of robots, for example in a welding line, where human activity is substituted by robots. Unicist Business Objects are like autopilots and not like robots.

The learning of the use of business objects requires having grasped their concept, accessing their “know why” and finally managing their “know how” to be able to replace them in the case their range of operation is exceeded.

The use of business catalysts in commercial processes

Unicist commercial catalysts influence the use of inner freedom. The installation of catalysts in commercial processes only works if the catalysts have a superior ethical approach that allows buyers exerting a higher level of decision freedom.

Mental processes are catalyzed by questions. But there is no catalysis if the questions posed generate answers. Catalysis is only produced when questions are responded with other questions.

This implies that the catalysts of mental process are the questions that are asked by the individual her/himself and not the one posed by others.

Only individuals who have inner freedom are able to ask themselves questions without feeling pushed. The proactive questions individuals have are the demonstration of inner freedom in action.

Affirmations, posed as fuzzy facts allow generating questions in the mind of the recipient of a communication. That is why fuzzy affirmations, with a superior ethical content, are the natural catalysts of commercial processes.

Only individuals focused on the true customer’s needs are able to use commercial catalysts.

Apprehending Unicist Ontologies for Business Objects Design

The knowledge of the ontology of a specific reality is necessary in order to build an object to influence it. This abstract is a description of the methods individuals need to use to apprehend the ontology of an adaptive system.

Unicist objects are adapted systems designed to influence the evolution of other (wider) adapted systems. Individual, business and social growth are paradigmatic adapted systems where unicist objects can be installed to drive or accelerate growth.

Introduction

Every individual has his natural type of logical thinking and strategic thinking. This defines the type of problems s/he can deal with.

http://www.unicist.org/unicist_ethics_en.pdf

Everyone’s responsibility is making use of what one has to make things happen.

The maturity of knowledge depends on the hunger, responsibility and will of individuals and the prices they accept to pay to achieve it.

Apprehension of ontological structures

The objective of this work is to provide a guide to apprehend the ontological structure of a specific reality when the generic ontological algorithm already as been discovered and developed.

To discover ontologies and develop ontological algorithms you can find the Unicist Standard at:

The Unicist Standard for the Ontological R&D of Adaptive Systems:
http://www.unicist.org/deb_ustdrd.php
The Unicist Standard to Research the Ontology of Human Adaptive Systems:
http://www.unicist.org/deb_ustdas.php

“Concept” is the plain language name given for an ontological structure and “fundamentals” is the name given to the elements that integrate it.

Sound knowledge and maturity are needed to approach an ontological structure.

Maturity implies that individuals are focused on adding value and profiting from its counterpart in a specific reality.

Therefore we will be focusing on how individuals, having different types of logical thinking, can apprehend an ontological structure.

It has to be said that the first step to approach a new field is to recognize it. To do so individuals compare what they “see” with a preconcept they have. That is what we have named “analogical thinking” meaning that the individual projects on the external reality a preconcept s/he has. This projection stagnates if individuals need to confirm their beliefs or needs.

If individuals have the inner freedom to introject a different external reality the thinking process begins; if not, individuals approach reality with their stagnated survivor ethics.

Apprehending unicist ontologies

We will be following the steps of approaching concepts starting with the operational approach.

Apprehending ontologies with operational thinking

It is a way to adapt to reality based on its operational aspects.

The use of objective scientific tools such as statistics, neural networks, genetic algorithms, value analysis, etc allows finding the hypothesis of the concept of a specific reality. The scientifically validated results provide a hypothesis of the concept that underlies the observable facts and actions.

As it is based on the research of effects it is needed to be confirmed to avoid fallacious conclusions.

This knowledge can be used after statistically valid pilot tests have been done. It is functional to all those fields of action where secure knowledge is unnecessary.

Apprehending ontologies with analytical thinking

To approach reality with analytical thinking requires knowing the idea of the concept.

Analytical thinking implies analyzing the hypothetical idea of a concept in order to find its structure and make the logical validation of it. Unicist ontological analysis has to be used to make this validation.

Analytical thinking provides the static valid ontological structure to be used. When it is not based on operational knowledge it provides the hypothetical ontological structure of a reality following the rules of the ontogenetic intelligence of nature.

This knowledge allows adjusting the operational knowledge and providing an approach to the ontological algorithms to deal with a specific reality. It allows confirming the hypothesis of the concept defined at the operational level.

Apprehending ontologies with systemic (scientific) thinking

To approach reality with systemic thinking the dynamic of a concept has to be known. This knowledge can have been empirically built or can be based on following the steps that started at a previous thinking level.

The next step for those who have a natural systemic approach to reality is the operational confirmation of its dynamic.

Systemic thinking requires designing tests that allow confirming the hypothetical dynamic that has been defined. It provides a valid knowledge for all those fields that can be managed based on cause-effect relationships. This implies that it can be used in the fields where a real influence on reality can be exerted.

Apprehending ontologies with conceptual thinking

Conceptual thinking allows apprehending a specific reality as a unified field. It is based on confirming the idea of a concept based having experienced it in an adapted way.

Conceptual thinking allows using experiences in homologous fields as valid experiences to develop solutions with added value.

The use of conceptual thinking is the final step of the apprehension of an ontological structure.

Natural conceptual thinkers have to confirm the idea of a concept based on unicist reflection and the use of destructive and non-destructive pilot tests.

Conceptual thinking provides the solutions to deal with complex adaptive systems in which the boundaries are open. It provides secure knowledge of the possibilities of actions and the probabilities of success.

Conclusion

Unicist thinking is the integration of these four types of logical thinking processes. It allows emulating the ontogenetic intelligence of nature to apprehend the ontology of evolution in order to build strategies that allow using unicist objects to drive and accelerate evolution in specific fields.

To build objects, whatever their type, requires being able to apprehend the ontology of the specific reality where they need to be installed.

This requires having achieved a mature knowledge and relationship with that reality in order to be able to focus on adding value and benefiting from the counterpart.

The Unicist Ontology of Inner Freedom

Inner freedom is the capacity of individuals to assume the responsibility they have, making conscious adapted decisions.

IUnicist Ontology of Inner Freedomnner freedom can be earned by those individuals who are able to assume the responsibility for their adapted actions in an environment being able to leave aside their own needs when making decisions.

People have lost their freedom when needs drive their actions.

Therefore, inner freedom is something people gain step by step, if they are able to pay the prices, or lose step by step, if they need to impose their rules.

It can be said that inner freedom is a utopia when instinctive needs, emotional needs and social values are sort of inhibitors for inner freedom.

Individuals who achieved inner freedom can make accurate decisions based on their capacity to do and to discriminate their inside from the outside which allows them to assume the individual, social and transcendent responsibility.
