Social Communities: The vehicle for cooperation

Communities are social entities integrated by people who share a differentiated entity that allows them to grow based on feeling valued and belonging to a superior group.

The building of a community requires having a superior ethics in some field, which implies centrally a differentiated functionality, a strict moral code, according to what is necessary to be done, and an adequate ideology that sustains the group.

All communities belong to a visible segment that makes them recognizable by the environment. Sects are extreme communities that foster a functionality that belongs to a parallel world.

Those who lead a community need to share its ethics. Their core responsibility is to expand it because they are convinced of the values they are adding to the environment.

The origin of Free Masons and the Rotary Club was being a community that belonged to the segment of “unions”.

Religious and political communities do not pertain to any of these categories although they are homologous.

When business communities exist, they belong to the Institutional or Avant-Garde segments. The first business community built by us was installed in Diners in 1981.

European Crisis: Fundamental Analysis is coming back

The European Crisis demonstrated a lack of risk management in the wide sense. Fundamental analysis has been left aside. Fundamental analysis is based on the ontological structures of a functional entity and allows forecasting its behavior. When it is integrated with technical analysis it provides fully reliable information for risk management.

Fundamental analysis was an early technology to manage opportunities and risks, but mathematical solutions were consistent enough to displace and transform it into a subjective and perhaps intuitive approach to opportunity/risk management.

It has to be considered that human adaptive systems have a three dimensional structure following the ontogenetic intelligence of nature: http://www.unicist.org/deb_uoin.php

An ontological approach is necessary to deal with opportunities and risks in the field of adaptive systems in order to manage their three dimensional ontogenetic algorithms.

As it is known, mathematical models for adaptive systems are necessarily based on “ceteris paribus” or empirical solutions that are based on historical information with sophisticated projections.

That is why we consider that time has come to integrate technical analysis with fundamental analysis to provide reliable diagnoses and prognoses to the markets. This will surely prove a security framework that will bring relief to them.

Implementation of the unicist ontology of business growth

Business Growth is implicit in the architecture of a business. The context for structural growth is defined when the architecture has been designed. But it has to be considered that structural growth is in the details of the architecture and between the lines of the work procedures.

The unicist ontology of economic growth was discovered in 1989 after 10 years of research and country scenario building. Since then, its application to business growth drove to multiple experiences until it could be confirmed in 2011. The Unicist Research Institute used this ontology to grow from a pioneer in 1976 to where it is now.

The unified field of business growth, in unicist standard language, includes:

  1. A context for growth, which is defined by the implicit vision of a company.
  2. The economic growth algorithm: driven by technology, value generation and institutionalization.
  3. Synchronicity: driven by opportunity, critical mass and added value.
  4. Timing: driven by synchronicity, acceleration of actions and speed of actions.
  5. Action: driven by value adding displacement, focused energy and work.

The algorithm for growth allows, on the one hand, diagnosing the possibilities of structural growth, defining its strategy and implementing the business processes to build it.

On the other hand, it defines the possibilities of conjunctual growth. Conjunctural growth implies actions that only drive to the growth of revenue that cannot be incompatible with the above described unified field of the growth algorithm.

Unicist Business Platforms structure Business Units

Companies have two customers: their market and their shareholders.

Unicist Business Platforms are integrated business processes that foster business expansion while covering the administrative aspects or integrating them within.

UBPs use unicist business objects to ensure the results of the work processes. Thus UBPs structure a business unit including its expansion, decision support, control and operational systems.

The maximal strategy is driven by the adaptive system including both the expansion and the decision support systems. This allows expanding the boundaries of a business and structuring it to make it stable.

As a business unit, it needs to be measured by results which include both growth and profit. The transformation of cost centers into business units implies that the business might have external and/or internal clients.

It has to be considered that the concept of transforming cost centers into business units is an extension of boundaries in itself.

Hyperrealism in business: Organization by Results

The Unicist Hyperrealism is an approach to businesses, considering them as adaptive systems and managing their unified field with the context to ensure the results to be achieved.

Hyperrealism is necessary to approach the expansion of businesses. It requires managing the unified field of a business, the short and long term strategies and the use of the “Organization by Results” meta-model.

Organization by results is the organizational meta-model that allows upgrading businesses driving them towards a superior level.

This approach is basic to expand the boundaries of businesses and to manage the adaptive systems of companies.

It requires using business objects to ensure the adapting capacity of companies and the existence of strict operational methods as catalysts to sustain the implementation of the strategies that are designed to achieve the predefined goals.

The organization of business units, having autonomous but interdependent business platforms, is the natural organization for hyperrealism in business.

Unicist Ontological and Object Driven Business Organization

The Unicist Object Driven Organization described by Peter Belohlavek is a breakthrough that emulates the organization of nature. It integrates business objects into the business processes to increase their effectiveness. The organization by objects allows on one hand the saving of energy and, on the other hand, it provides the necessary structure to be able to integrate efficacy with efficiency increasing notoriously the results obtained.

Learning the use of unicist ontology based business objects

The use of Unicist Business Objects, e.g. a Market Lab, doesn’t require managing ontological approaches but understanding them.

Unicist Business Objects are part of the intellectual capital of companies.

Access Diana Belohlavek’s  book on Intellectual Capital at:
http://www.goodwillnetwork.net/deb_ic.shtml

An individual needs to be able to manage the business processes in order to integrate business objects. This requires having the concept of the process, having the operational know how and understanding the process which means having the know why.

Business Objects do not substitute the individual’s responsibility for results; they provide a structured solution that makes her/his activity easier and more profitable. In other fields this is self-evident: an autopilot doesn’t replace a human activity, it sustains the work of a pilot.

This is not the case of robots, for example in a welding line, where human activity is substituted by robots. Unicist Business Objects are like autopilots and not like robots.

The learning of the use of business objects requires having grasped their concept, accessing their “know why” and finally managing their “know how” to be able to replace them in the case their range of operation is exceeded.

The use of business catalysts in commercial processes

Unicist commercial catalysts influence the use of inner freedom. The installation of catalysts in commercial processes only works if the catalysts have a superior ethical approach that allows buyers exerting a higher level of decision freedom.

Mental processes are catalyzed by questions. But there is no catalysis if the questions posed generate answers. Catalysis is only produced when questions are responded with other questions.

This implies that the catalysts of mental process are the questions that are asked by the individual her/himself and not the one posed by others.

Only individuals who have inner freedom are able to ask themselves questions without feeling pushed. The proactive questions individuals have are the demonstration of inner freedom in action.

Affirmations, posed as fuzzy facts allow generating questions in the mind of the recipient of a communication. That is why fuzzy affirmations, with a superior ethical content, are the natural catalysts of commercial processes.

Only individuals focused on the true customer’s needs are able to use commercial catalysts.

The Unicist Ontology of Inner Freedom

Inner freedom is the capacity of individuals to assume the responsibility they have, making conscious adapted decisions.

IUnicist Ontology of Inner Freedomnner freedom can be earned by those individuals who are able to assume the responsibility for their adapted actions in an environment being able to leave aside their own needs when making decisions.

People have lost their freedom when needs drive their actions.

Therefore, inner freedom is something people gain step by step, if they are able to pay the prices, or lose step by step, if they need to impose their rules.

It can be said that inner freedom is a utopia when instinctive needs, emotional needs and social values are sort of inhibitors for inner freedom.

Individuals who achieved inner freedom can make accurate decisions based on their capacity to do and to discriminate their inside from the outside which allows them to assume the individual, social and transcendent responsibility.

Building Corporate Universities as Unicist Business Objects

In-company Corporate Universities are an extremely powerful business object to promote growth and measurable monetary results.

Originally, they were derived from academic and training activities providing know-how to the members of organizations. But some differentiated technological companies began to use them also to expand their businesses. Thus Corporate Universities began to work as business objects.

The Unicist Research Institute developed Corporate Universities as business objects, integrating the three objects that define their functionality:
1)    The driving object for know-how transfer
2)    The catalyzing object to accelerate actions in the market
3)    The gravitational object to structure authoritative differentiation in the market

Driving objects: Empirical approach

The driving Corporate Universities need to transfer empiric know-how to their participants.

Empirical knowledge is the core of this activity and analogous benchmarking is the natural approach to unknown operational practices.

They need to be developed in operational/analytical language in order to deal with the business operation.

Catalyzing objects: Systemic approach

The catalyzing Corporate Universities have to transfer knowledge on the technologies that sustain operational know-how.

Systemic knowledge is the core of catalyzing CU and the use of homologous (conceptual) benchmarking allows integrating unknown technologies in a new field of action.

They need to be developed in analytical/scientific language in order to deal with the innovative technology that is behind the operation.

Gravitational objects: Ontological approach

The gravitational Corporate Universities are built to provide essential knowledge to deal with the business.

They need to provide this knowledge in a way that the concepts dealt with become obvious and self-evident for the mass. They do not use benchmarks but metaphors to approach unknown fields.

They need to be developed in conceptual language in order to deal with the nature that underlies the business.

The lack of know-how defines the need for the driving function. This function becomes unnecessary as soon as the know-how has been acquired.

It has to be considered that innovation sustains the use of social catalysts and catalyzing objects. The catalyzing effect disappears when an innovation has been adopted by the environment. Therefore, catalysts need to be replaced when they are “worn out”.

Gravitational objects are stable because the essential aspects of businesses imply an endless discovering process.

Power and knowledge have an extremely conflictive relationship. That is why Corporate Universities are contraindicated for power centered businesses.

We want to remark that In-Company Corporate Universities designed as Business Objects have to be learning and not teaching centered.

(Based on the research on In-company Corporate Universities)
